RECIPE: Chocolate Easter Nests
By Kirsten McKechnie.
These make really lovely gifts and look gorgeous as part of a table setting if you’re hosting friends or family for Easter. They’re also incredibly simple, not that you need to let anyone know! The little quail eggs that I’ve used are from Koko Black, they’re filled with praline and are my ultimate treat, but you can find similar looking ones in pretty pastels by Cadbury at most supermarkets.
1 pkt Chang’s fried noodles (100g)
2 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
200g chocolate (I used milk but dark would be lovely too)
Chocolate quail eggs
1. Combine the chocolate and peanut butter in a saucepan and melt over a low heat, stirring regularly until smooth. Remove from heat.
2. Add the noodles and stir to coat.
3. Using two spoons, shape mixture into nests and place onto a sheet of baking paper. I usually cheat a bit here and use my fingers so I can get the shape just how I like it.
4.Place the eggs into the nests and leave them to set!
