DIY: UPDATE YOUR UPHOLSTERED BEDHEAD IN A FLASH

By Emma Clapham.

Does your upholstered bedhead need an update? Or maybe you simply want to give your bedroom a new look. I am thrilled to show you this DIY project, as it is such a simple and cost effective solution that will update your bedroom in a flash!

I wanted to update my bedhead to create a lighter, ‘Hampton’s’ look; however, I didn’t want to purchase a new bedhead, as they are really expensive. Given my bedhead was already fabric I instead used VELCRO® Sticky Back for Fabrics, which is an easy to apply peel and stick fastener that provides a permanent bond to fabrics with no sewing, gluing or ironing required. I bought some beautiful linen that matched my lampshades from my local fabric store, measured the appropriate amount of fabric I needed and using VELCRO® Sticky Back for Fabrics I bonded the new fabric to my bedhead in a matter of minutes.

I am so excited about this product as it means I can update my bedroom in a flash by simply updating my bedhead with new fabric whenever I feel like it. For example in Summer, I dare say I will update it with a yellow and beige chevron pattern.

See below my before and after pictures, along with the steps for this easy DIY project.
