DIY Faux Marble Tray

By Rebecca Simpson.

We are going through a major marble phase at Who Loves That (see DIY Kitchen Makeover and Marble Candles). However,  I think it’s safe to say that we are not alone in this obsession as it seems everyone is marble crazy at the moment. We hope you enjoy this DIY Faux Marble Tray project that we have created and have fun getting your DIY and Marble on!

What you need:

Wood cutting board or thin birch squares/circles

Marble Contact Paper

Felt pads or Rubber bumpers

Scissors

Pencil

Ruler (optional if using a square shape)

Method:

1. Lay your board on top of your marble contact paper and trace around the shape using your pencil. Cut to size leaving about 3cm around the edges.

2. Peel off the backing of your contact paper and lay your board on top. Using your scissors cut slices (1.5cm apart) around the paper and fold the contact paper around the board.

3. Flip your board over and measure onto contact paper again, however this time cut 1.5cm smaller than the size of your board. Stick this paper to the bottom of your board.

4. Place your felt pads or bumpers to the bottom of the board.

All done!
