INTERVIEW: MARDI RADCLIFFE FROM THREE OH TWO WILLOWS
One of our favourite home and living stores in Geelong has recently had a makeover. We take you through the new and improved Three Oh Two Willows and speak to owner Mardi Radcliffe about the renovations and what we can expect in store.
When did you first open the doors to Three Oh Two Willows? We first opened our doors in October 2007
You have recently renovated the store and it looks amazing! How did you find the process and what were your overall goals? I loved the renovating process an awesome builder makes it a lot easier! Our main goal was to open up the space and increase the size, it was time to grow.
Tell us about some of the brands/products you stock… We have worked tirelessly the last 18 months to establish our own brands and deal with manufacturers who would produce lines that would be exclusive to us but we are still working with local brands also such as Elk.
How important is your buying process and offering products to your customers that are unique? It is the most important thing to us. We are trying really hard to be unique so our customers can experience boutique shopping and be one of the lucky few to enjoy what they have chosen. It’s no fun buying something and then discover it’s not that unique after all.
What should we be keeping our eyes out for? Everything! We are travelling overseas to do most of our buying now, I think I will have a very large lay-by coming up!
We know this is tricky, but what are some of your favourite products in store at the moment? Our cashmere range, Lumira candles and of course, our own furniture in washable linens, just need to convince my hubby we need a new sofa!
5 quick questions:
1. Favourite movie? A time to kill
2. Favourite coffee shop? Winters in Pakington st, just can’t get there often enough!
3. Perfect Sunday is… sleeping in and staying in my pjs till lunchtime with my kids.
4. Instagram, facebook or pinterest? Instagram and Facebook
5. If you could ask for absolutely anything right now, what would it be? It’s a toss up between a holiday and sleep, maybe sleeping in on a holiday!
