DIY: WEDDING RIBBON WANDS
Wedding Ribbon Wands are a new way to celebrate the bride and grooms marriage at the end of their ceremony. Not only can the wands be kept as a memento after your big day, they also don’t leave behind the mess like rice or confetti do.
What you need:
Ribbon (we used a combination of thicknesses)
Hot Glue Gun
Dowel (cut to roughly 30cm in length)
1. Cut the ribbon to the desired lengths. We cut our ribbon roughly 25-30cm long. We found it easier to cut all the ribbon at once.
2. Using the hot glue gun, glue the ribbon to one end of the dowel. We used three pieces of ribbon for each wand so you will need to glue each layer individually.
3. Once glue is dry, use the thin ribbon to wrap around the top of the dowel to cover where the layers of ribbon where glued in step 2. This will provide a neat finish. Tie the ribbon in a knot and cut ends off short.
